The enrollment appointment is in person at a clinic. ID, address, and income get verified. Staff do growth and health checks, including iron levels. That health check is the point, not a hurdle.
The tech is genuinely useful: the WIC Connect mobile app and WIC Client Connect web portal handle appointments, benefit balances, store lookup, and form signing, and the card itself runs through ebtEDGE.
