Missouri SNAP puts monthly food money on an EBT card you swipe like a debit card. Apply online through the Family Support Division FS-1 application at formsportal.mo.gov, by uploading documents at mydssupload.mo.gov, or by mail or fax. For an existing case, the FSD Information Line is 855-373-4636.
Missouri keeps stricter rules than many states, so know them. The gross income limit is 130 percent of poverty ($20,352 a year for one person, $41,796 for four, effective April 2026), and there is a net limit of 100 percent. And Missouri applies an asset test, which many states have dropped: households cannot own more than $3,000 in resources, or $4,500 with an elderly or disabled member. Your home and vehicles do not count.
Every application includes an interview, usually by phone, and it is a required step. Call 855-823-4908 to complete the phone interview or reschedule a missed one. Answer calls from unfamiliar numbers while your case is open.
Speed is available. Households that qualify for expedited service can get benefits in seven days or less; complete Section 2 of the application for the expedited screening. Standard applications are processed within 30 days.

One work rule to note: able-bodied participants may have to prove at least 80 hours a month of work or training. New exemptions took effect November 1, 2025, for people with a dependent under 14, those under 18 or over 64, and those working 30 or more hours a week, among others. Ask your worker where you stand, and dial 2-1-1 if food is short today.
