Nevada WIC gives healthy food, breastfeeding support, nutrition education, and health referrals. The income limit is 185 percent of the federal poverty guidelines. This is well above the SNAP cutoff, so a working family that does not qualify for food stamps may still qualify for WIC. A pregnant person counts each expected baby toward household size.
The dollar limits change each year. For July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027, the yearly income limits are $29,526 for a household of 1, $40,034 for 2, $50,542 for 3, and $61,050 for 4.
There is an easy shortcut on income. If you or a child in your care are already on Medicaid, SNAP, or TANF, you automatically meet the WIC income test. Just bring proof of that current benefit instead of income papers.
WIC is more than food. It gives monthly benefits for nutritious foods and infant formula. It also gives nutrition education, breastfeeding support, nutrition counseling, and referrals to other community services. A parent, grandparent, foster parent, or guardian can apply for a child.
To apply, contact a local WIC clinic to set up a certification appointment. Come ready with your ID, proof of where you live, and proof of income or of your other benefit.
